Two members of the 42nd Brigade of the Syrian Ministry of Defense were injured on Friday evening in an 'Israeli' airstrike that targeted the Palmyra Military Airport, as reported by Syria TV.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights confirmed that Syrian forces in the area were placed on high alert following the attack.

Later reports indicated that US helicopters flew at low altitudes over Deir ez-Zor, but no additional information was provided.

Previously, Syrian state news agency SANA reported casualties from 'Israeli' airstrikes near the city of Daraa in southern Syria. The Syrian Foreign Ministry condemned the strikes, describing them as an "aggressive act" aimed at destabilizing the country.

Since December, following the ousting of President Bashar al-Assad by opposition factions, 'Israel' has conducted numerous airstrikes on Syrian military sites, including naval and air bases.

'Israel' claims these strikes aim to prevent the new government from gaining control of the previous regime's military arsenal.

In addition, 'Israeli' forces have entered the demilitarized zone in the Golan Heights, located near the area it occupies in the Syrian plateau.

In February, 'Israeli' Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called for the complete demilitarization of southern Syria, warning that 'Israel' would not tolerate the presence of Syrian security forces near its borders.
