Jordan's tourism revenue and visitor numbers rise in early 2025The tourism sector in Jordan saw significant growth in February 2025, with a notable rise in international visitors and tourism revenue compared to the same month in 2024, according to data from the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities and the Central Bank of Jordan.

Tourism revenue in February reached approximately 428 million Jordanian Dinars, a 10 percent increase from the 390 million dinars recorded in February 2024.

This growth is attributed to a rise in tourist numbers and higher spending, particularly from key markets, especially Arab tourists.

Jordan welcomed 525,000 international visitors in February, a 13 percent increase from 465,000 in the same month of 2024.

Overnight visitors also saw an increase, with 435,000 recorded, up 9 percent from 398,000 in 2024.

Day-trip visitors surged by 35 percent, reaching 89,000 compared to 66,000 in February 2024.

In 2025, tourism revenue grew by 16.3 percent in the first two months, totaling 910 million dinars, up from 782 million in the same period in 2024. International visitors also rose by 21.5 percent, with 1.136 million visitors compared to 935,000 in 2024.

The growth in both tourism revenue and visitors can be attributed to increased promotional campaigns in target markets and the resumption of low-cost direct flights.

The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities continues to focus on expanding the tourism sector’s contribution to the national economy through improved tourism products, infrastructure, and visitor experiences, while diversifying target markets and creating job opportunities. The goal is to strengthen Jordan's position as a leading global tourist destination.
