Jordan, Syria Foreign Ministers meet ahead of 9th EU support conference

Jordan’s Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi met with his Syrian counterpart Asaad Al-Shibani today ahead of the ninth Brussels Conference on Supporting Syria.

The two ministers discussed the situation in Syria, with Safadi reaffirming Jordan’s steadfast position in supporting Syria’s reconstruction on principles that safeguard its security, unity, and the rights of the Syrian people – a statement by the Foreign Ministry said.

They also explored ways to enhance cooperation in various fields, including energy, trade, transportation, and security.
