Jordan to operate Jaber border crossing 24/7 starting March 23

The Ministry of Interior, in coordination with relevant authorities, has announced that the Jaber Border Crossing with Syria will operate 24 hours a day starting Sunday, March 23, 2025.

This decision follows coordination with the Syrian authorities and the implementation of necessary measures to ensure smooth operations, with logistical and security support to facilitate movement across the crossing.

The new operating hours for Jaber Border Crossing will now match those of the Al-Omari Border Crossing with Saudi Arabia.

This move comes ahead of the Eid al-Fitr holiday, which is expected to increase traveler traffic. The goal is to streamline crossing procedures, speed up the movement of goods, and reduce waiting times.

The decision will also boost trade and stimulate economic activity between Jordan and Syria, especially with the recent rise in cargo and passenger traffic at the crossing.
