Jordan will continue to experience unseasonably warm temperatures on Sunday and Monday due to a warm air mass significantly exceeding seasonal norms, according to the latest weather maps from ArabiaWeather.

Temperatures are expected to rise slightly across the country, reaching 10-12°C above the average for this time of year. Daytime conditions will be warm across most regions and hot in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba.

Highs will surpass the mid-20s°C in many cities, including parts of Amman, while exceeding the mid-30s°C in the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Winds will be light and variable.

Nighttime temperatures also above seasonal norms

At night, temperatures will remain significantly higher than usual for this time of year. Evening conditions will be mild, cooling slightly toward late night and early morning, while staying warm in the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba.

What’s causing the warm weather?

Meteorologists attribute the unusual warmth to a warm air mass moving from northeastern Africa toward Jordan. This shift is driven by cold air sweeping from central Europe into northwestern Africa, including Libya and the Maghreb region, which in turn pushes warmer air toward the eastern Mediterranean.
