Eight dead in train-bus collision in Egypt

A tragic accident occurred on Thursday when a train collided with a minibus on the Gelbana-Qantara East road, resulting in the deaths of eight individuals, including children, and leaving 12 others injured.

The Egyptian Ministry of Health responded promptly by dispatching 13 equipped ambulances to the scene of the accident. The injured were transported to Al-Qantara East Central Hospital for urgent medical treatment.

Preliminary reports from the authorities indicate that the passenger train was operating on its designated track when the minibus entered a restricted area, leading to the fatal collision.

Among the injured, one child is reported to be in critical condition. Authorities are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident to determine the cause and accountability.
