Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan reaffirmed Turkey’s stance against sectarianism in Syria, stressing that the country will not allow any attempts to sow discord in its neighbor.

In his statements today, Erdogan said, "Those who try to stir up discord in Syria will not succeed in their plans."

He noted that over the past 14 years, various groups have tried to bring the sectarian strife that Syria endured to Turkey. However, he emphasized that Turkey has always remained committed to promoting regional stability and avoiding involvement in sectarian conflicts.

Regarding the situation in Syria, Erdogan highlighted that terrorist attacks by remnants of the previous regime have aimed to spark sectarian clashes. He reiterated that Turkey is actively working to prevent the spread of such conflicts. "These attacks aim to destabilize the region," he said.

Erdogan also pointed out that, "Thanks to the effective intervention of Syrian government forces, significant control has been regained over the situation. However, the situation remains fragile and requires further cooperation and joint efforts from all parties to ensure Syria's stability and security."

The Turkish President reiterated Turkey’s full support for Syria’s transition to political and security stability, emphasizing that Turkey is committed to working with all parties to achieve peace and stability in the region.

Erdogan strongly condemned any terrorist attacks targeting Syria’s unity and social peace, stressing that Turkey will support any efforts aimed at preserving Syria's territorial integrity and enhancing its internal security.

In conclusion, Erdogan stated that Turkey respects all peoples in the region, regardless of ethnicity or religion, and emphasized the importance of regional unity and peace in achieving lasting security.
