Syria defence ministry announces end of operation on coast

The Syrian Ministry of Defense, announced the end of the military operation on the country’s coast, saying it had achieved all its objectives.

“Our troops have absorbed the attacks of the remnants of the former regime and its officers, neutralized their element of surprise, pushed them away from vital centers, and secured most of the public roads they used to target civilians,” Col. Hassan Abdul Ghani, the ministry’s spokesperson said.

He added that security forces cleared all “regime remnants" and neutralized the threats.
