Hamas commends Arab solidarity for Palestinian rights, especially Jordan, Egypt
Hamas affirmed its readiness to cooperate with any initiative aimed at countering attempts to displace the Palestinian people from the Gaza Strip and to reconstruct the region without compromising Palestinian rights.
In a statement on Saturday, the movement expressed its "high appreciation for the unified Arab stance rejecting the project to displace our Palestinian people, especially the positions of the Arab Republic of Egypt and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan."
It also emphasized the importance of achieving a just solution to the Palestinian cause that guarantees the right to self-determination, the establishment of a fully sovereign Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital, and the return of refugees to their homes and villages from which they were displaced since the Nakba.
Hamas Shura Council's chairman, Muhammad Ismail Darwish, reiterated in a message sent to the Arab Summit the movement's commitment to completing the remaining stages of the ceasefire agreement, aiming for a comprehensive and permanent ceasefire, the complete withdrawal of occupation forces from the Gaza Strip, reconstruction, and lifting the blockade.
The movement emphasized that the day after the war should be purely Palestinian, based on national consensus and fraternal Arab support.
Darwish pointed out that "Hamas has shown full readiness to engage with any option agreed upon nationally, whether by forming a national unity government of expert technocrats and professional Palestinian figures or by forming the community support committee proposed by our brothers in the Arab Republic of Egypt to manage the affairs of the Gaza Strip in accordance with the applicable laws in the Palestinian territories."
In the same context, Darwish stressed Hamas's absolute rejection of any attempts to impose non-Palestinian projects or forms of governance or the presence of any foreign forces on the territory of the Gaza Strip.
