Merchants must display price lists on goods for sale, says ministry
The Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Supply has emphasized the importance of clearly displaying prices on all goods for sale, whether the price is legally fixed or set as a maximum limit.
In a statement issued on Monday, the ministry clarified that if merchants are unable to affix price tags to certain items, they must prepare a price list and display it prominently near the store entrance.
The ministry also stated that wholesale sellers must provide buyers with an invoice detailing the type, quantity, and price of the goods, and must retain a copy for two years.
Retail sellers are also required to provide an invoice upon customer request.
Additionally, the ministry encouraged citizens to submit complaints and suggestions by calling 06-5661176, via WhatsApp at 0797527832, or through email at [email protected].
