The Kremlin confirmed that there is an agreement between Moscow and the new US administration that the resolution of the Ukraine crisis should be achieved through peaceful means.

It noted a shift in the US approach compared to the previous administration, which it claimed was "seeking to fight Russia until the last Ukrainian."

Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov stated that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's popularity is declining significantly, saying, "This has become evident to everyone."

The Kremlin also expressed concern over reports of European plans to deploy troops in Ukraine, emphasizing the need to closely monitor these developments.

Regarding settlement talks, the Kremlin noted that there are no concrete details yet but highlighted growing disagreements between Kyiv and the new US administration, which could impact the political resolution process.

Meanwhile, the Kremlin did not rule out further prisoner exchanges with the United States, indicating that channels of communication between the two countries remain open despite ongoing tensions.
