Jordan condemns attack on UNIFIL vehicle in Lebanon

Jordan condemned Saturday the attack on a convoy of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) on the road to Rafic Hariri International Airport in Beirut, describing it as a blatant violation of international law.

Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ambassador Dr. Sufian Qudah emphasized the need to ensure the security of UN forces and safeguard their personnel.

He reaffirmed Jordan’s rejection of any attacks on UNIFIL, which plays a vital role in maintaining Lebanon’s security and stability in accordance with relevant United Nations resolutions.

Ambassador Qudah expressed Jordan’s full solidarity with the government of Lebanon in preserving security and stability. He also wished a speedy recovery to those injured in the attack.
