Egypt condemns Netanyahu's calls for Palestinian state on Saudi land
Egypt has strongly condemned recent statements from 'Israeli' Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu suggesting the establishment of a Palestinian state on Saudi territory, calling the remarks "irresponsible and completely unacceptable."
Cairo described the comments as a direct violation of Saudi sovereignty and a blatant breach of international law and the UN Charter.
Egypt reaffirmed its full rejection of such "reckless" statements, emphasizing that Saudi Arabia’s security and sovereignty are a red line. It stressed that the stability of the kingdom is integral to Egypt’s and the broader Arab world’s security.
The Egyptian government further denounced Israeli Occupation’s rhetoric as a "flagrant diplomatic violation" and an attack on Saudi sovereignty, as well as an infringement on Palestinians’ legitimate right to an independent state based on the 1967 borders, including the West Bank, Gaza, and East Jerusalem.
Cairo reaffirmed its unwavering support for Saudi Arabia in the face of such provocations and called on the international community to condemn and reject the statements in their entirety.
