Schools in Karak, Ma'an, Tafilah to close Thursday due to weather
Education authorities in Jordan have announced the suspension of school activities in several regions due to adverse weather conditions.
Karak’s Director of Education, Samer Al-Majali, in coordination with Governor Qablan Al-Sharif, confirmed the closure of all public and private schools in the district on Thursday.

Similarly, Ma'an’s Directorate of Education has also suspended classes for the day, citing weather concerns.
In Tafileh, Director of Education Imran Al-Lassasmeh, in coordination with Governor Omar Al-Zayoud, announced the closure of all public and private schools. However, the Directorate of Education will operate with a delayed start at 9:00 AM.
The decisions were made to ensure student safety amid challenging weather conditions.
