Muhannad Atiyat, the media spokesperson for ArabiaWeather, confirmed that satellite imagery shows a weather depression will reach Jordan in the afternoon, bringing heavy rainfall.

He explained that light rain showers are expected in the morning, followed by a sharp and sudden temperature drop between Tuesday and Wednesday. Amman could see lows of 3°C on Wednesday night.

Speaking to Roya, Atiyat noted that rainfall will be heaviest in the north, while central areas will see less precipitation. By Wednesday evening, the depression and rain will shift southward.

He added that heavy hail showers could occur across the country, with the storm peaking from Wednesday night into Thursday morning.

As for snow, he predicted accumulation in high-altitude areas of the south, particularly in Al-Qadisiyah and Al-Rashadiyah.

Wind gusts are expected to range between 70 and 100 km/h nationwide, stirring up dust in desert areas and reducing visibility. Strong winds will persist from Wednesday night through Thursday morning, prompting warnings about dust and fog-related hazards.

The cold air mass will begin to recede on Friday, but temperatures will remain low, with Amman reaching around 7°C.

Atiyat concluded by warning of slippery roads due to rain and poor visibility from fog and dust, especially on Wednesday night and Thursday morning.
