A special security force raided a high-risk, armed drug dealer in Central Badia, applying engagement rules after he opened fire on officers.
The suspect, classified as one of the most dangerous drug traffickers in central governorates, was fatally wounded in the exchange and later succumbed to his injuries.
Public Security Directorate (PSD) confirmed that the suspect had 24 security warrants, including drug trafficking, illegal weapon possession, and firing live rounds.
During the operation, authorities seized four firearms, live ammunition, and a quantity of crystal meth. An Arab national accompanying the suspect was also arrested, found to have a drug-related security warrant. Investigations are ongoing.
