02-02-2025 13:16|In an effort to strengthen national identity, Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Education has mandated that students in both public and private high schools wear the national Saudi dress.
This includes the thobe and ghutra or shemagh for Saudi students, and the thobe for non-Saudis, in line with the directives of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
The decision aims to foster a deeper sense of national belonging and reinforce Saudi cultural values as part of Vision 2030.
Additionally, awareness campaigns targeting students and their parents will be launched to highlight the importance of implementing the national dress policy in schools, according to the official Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
