Snow in Jordan
Will Jordan see snow this week?
Jordan will be affected by a classified winter low-pressure system on Wednesday and Thursday (Feb. 5-6, 2025). This comes after more than 60 days without a typical winter system, making the current rainy season one of the weakest in decades – ArabiaWeather said in its latest forecast.

The system is expected to bring heavy rain to northern, central, and eastern Jordan, along with strong winds and a significant drop in temperatures.
Forecasts suggest that the system will move quickly eastward, causing weather conditions to weaken by Thursday afternoon. However, details remain uncertain due to ongoing shifts in the air mass movement.
Severe cold after the system passes
Weather models indicate that frigid winds will follow the system, leading to a sharp temperature drop and a high likelihood of widespread frost over the weekend. This could result in the coldest temperatures of the season so far.
Will it snow?
Initial forecasts suggest that the cold air associated with the system could be sufficient for snowfall on high elevations. However, whether the cold air and precipitation will align remains uncertain.
Due to instability in the air mass movement, it is too early to confirm if snowfall will occur during this system.
