Jordan's exports to EU countries rise in 2024

Jordan's exports to European Union countries saw a slight increase by the end of November 2024, totaling JOD 386 million, up from JOD 383 million during the same period in 2023, reflecting a 0.8 percent growth.

In contrast, Jordan's imports from the EU declined by 2.3 percent, amounting to JOD 2.611 billion, down from JOD 2.673 billion in 2023. As a result, the trade deficit with the EU stood at approximately JOD 2.225 billion, an improvement from JOD 2.290 billion in 2023.

Overall trade between Jordan and the EU reached JOD 2.997 billion by the end of November 2024, compared to JOD 3.056 billion during the same period in 2023.

The Netherlands was the leading European country for Jordanian exports, with a value of JOD 80 million, a 9.6 percent increase from last year. Meanwhile, France remained the largest European exporter to Jordan, with imports totaling around JOD 250 million, reflecting a 3.5 percent decrease compared to 2023.
