Momani highlights Jordan's unwavering support for Palestinian cause

Jordan's Minister of Government Communication, Mohammad Momani, welcomed the recent ceasefire agreement aimed at halting aggression and ending bloodshed in Gaza and the West Bank.

In a statement on X, Momani reaffirmed the nation's unwavering dedication to their just cause.

"We proudly and honorably recall Jordan's historic, brotherly, and dignified Arab stance in solidarity with the Palestinian people," Momani stated. "We have always been and will remain the closest to our brothers in Palestine, exerting the greatest efforts to defend them."

The minister highlighted Jordan’s comprehensive mobilization of political, diplomatic, media, and humanitarian resources to support Palestinians. He credited His Majesty King Abdullah II for leveraging his international stature to reshape global perceptions of the aggression in Gaza. The King’s efforts have significantly elevated awareness and support for the Palestinian cause.

Jordan's humanitarian contributions were emphasized, including the role of the Jordanian Armed Forces - Arab Army (JAF) and security agencies in breaking the blockade on Gaza.

"Jordan was the first to deliver humanitarian aid, medical services, and field hospitals to Gaza and the West Bank," Momani noted. He praised the efforts of the Royal Jordanian Air Force (RJAF) and the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO) in sending critical aid to those affected.

The largest aid convoy to Gaza, recently organized by Jordan, stands as a testament to the nation's enduring commitment. "These efforts bear witness to Jordan's historic stance—one that will remain engraved in the history of humanity," he said.

Momani also called for immediate actions to support Palestinians' resilience on their land, emphasizing the necessity of rebuilding northern Gaza and facilitating the return of displaced residents.

"Peace cannot be achieved without justice, nor without granting the Palestinian people their natural right to self-determination," he stressed. "This can only be realized through a political process culminating in the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on Palestinian soil, with Jerusalem as its capital."

The statement concluded with a call for Jordanians to take pride in their nation’s honorable stance. "We call on all proud Jordanians to remember with pride Jordan's honorable stances, those of its people, its leadership, and its army, toward wounded Palestine," Momani said.
