Houthis issue statement following Gaza ceasefire

The spokesperson for Ansar Allah (the Houthis), Yahya Saree, issued a statement following the announcement of a ceasefire agreement in Gaza and a prisoner exchange deal.

Saree declared, "With the conclusion of the Gaza support battle and the announcement of the ceasefire, Palestine remains the foremost cause."

The ceasefire agreement was officially announced on Wednesday by Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani. The agreement, reached under the auspices of Qatar, Egypt, and the United States, marks a significant development in the conflict between 'Israel' and Hamas in the Gaza Strip.

Implementation of the agreement is set to begin on Sunday, January 19.
