VIDEO: Shocking twist in Egypt teacher incident

Egypt's Deputy Minister of Education in Sharqia, Mohamed Ramadan, revealed new details about the incident where a teacher was set on fire, which went viral on social media early January 2025.

The video showed students giving the teacher sweets as part of the "teacher's trend" to celebrate them for their efforts. However, one student went too far by spraying snow spray on her head and then setting it on fire as a joke.

Ramadan told "Telegraph Egypt" that the incident occurred outside the school, but an investigation is underway, and legal actions will be taken against her for providing private lessons.
