Second suspect in Liam Payne case surrenders to authorities
On Tuesday, a second man suspected of providing drugs to British singer Liam Payne before his death in October 2024 at a Buenos Aires hotel turned himself in at a police station, according to Agence France-Presse (AFP).
According to police sources, the 21-year-old arrived at the Barracas police station in southern Buenos Aires after his lawyer announced that he would surrender.
The man is an employee at the CasaSur Palermo Hotel, where Payne, a former member of One Direction, died after falling from the balcony of his third-floor room on Oct. 16, 2024.
Argentine authorities arrested a man on Friday who is accused of supplying drugs to Payne. Courts determined that he "provided drugs in exchange for money" and ordered the detention of two alleged drug dealers.
Five individuals are being investigated in connection with Payne's death. These individuals could face prison sentences ranging from one to five years.
