Mikati: Institutional reconstruction to follow new presidential election

Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati declared that he has communicated a clear message to the international sponsors of the ceasefire agreement, stressing the urgent need to stop violations and ensure a complete withdrawal from the occupied Lebanese territories.

He highlighted that the commitment to implementing Resolution 1701 is not solely Lebanon's responsibility but also applies to the "Israeli" side.

Mikati remarked, “It is our destiny to overcome challenges together and to face all obstacles and crises hand in hand.” He indicated that the process of rebuilding institutions will commence following the election of a new president during the upcoming session on Thursday, which aims to restore order to Lebanon's political landscape.

Furthermore, Mikati affirmed that Lebanon will continue to capture the world's attention through positive initiatives, despite the ongoing attacks against the Lebanese people and their lives.
