House fire in Karak claims life of child, six Syrian nationals

A security source reported that the Karak Police Directorate received a call this morning about a fire that resulted in the death of a child and six cases of asphyxiation, all involving Syrian nationals.

Civil Defense personnel quickly responded to the scene, managed the situation, and transported the injured to Karak Government Hospital. The fire was caused by a wood stove.

The Jordan Civil Defense consistently warned residents during the winter months about the dangers of using heating devices. They stressed the importance of safe heating practices and regular ventilation of homes, urging people to call the unified emergency number 911 if needed.
