Syrian authorities arrest notorious criminal in Latakia
The Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) reported on Friday that the authorities in Latakia province arrested "Hayyan Mia," a suspect responsible for several major crimes against Syrians.
This arrest follows the announcement on Thursday by Syria’s Military Operations Directorate about the capture of Mohammad Kinjo Hassan, known as "The Butcher," who is responsible for field executions at the Saydnaya prison.
The move comes after violent clashes erupted in the village of Balasah in western Homs between the Military Operations Directorate forces and groups loyal to the ousted Assad regime.
In related news, the Military Operations Directorate had previously announced the killing of "Shujaa Al-Ali," a key figure in the ousted Assad regime, during clashes in the village of Balasah. Al-Ali was implicated in crimes against civilians under Assad's rule.
