Jordan, Saudi Arabia condemn deadly Christmas market attack in Germany
Jordan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemned the tragic car-ramming incident that took place at a Christmas market in Magdeburg, eastern Germany, resulting in multiple casualties and injuries.
The ministry expressed Jordan’s solidarity with Germany, strongly denouncing all forms of violence and terrorism aimed at destabilizing security, spreading fear, and targeting civilians.
Jordanian Ambassador Qudah extended heartfelt condolences to the government and people of Germany, as well as to the victims' families, wishing a speedy recovery for the injured.

Similarly, Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed its condemnation of the horrific attack, reaffirming its rejection of all forms of violence.
The ministry's statement sent condolences to the families of the victims and the German government, while wishing a swift recovery for those injured.

The incident occurred when a car plowed through visitors at the market near the town hall, killing at least two people, including a child, and injuring dozens.
The governor of Saxony-Anhalt, Reiner Haseloff, confirmed that authorities arrested the suspect, identifying him as a Saudi national and a doctor who had been residing in Germany since 2006.
Haseloff stated, “Based on current information, the attacker acted alone, and we do not believe there is any further threat to the city.”
German newspaper Bild reported that the attack claimed 11 lives and left around 80 injured, with officials warning that the death toll could rise due to the severity of injuries. Reports indicated that the attacker drove approximately 400 meters through the crowded market, causing widespread panic and devastation.
