The Saudi Ministry of Interior announced on Thursday the execution of four Jordanian nationals in the Al-Jawf region for smuggling amphetamine pills into the country, according to an official statement published by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

The convicted individuals were identified as M.A.H., N.M.B., S.A.S., and A.A.D.S.

The ministry's statement detailed that authorities apprehended the suspects after uncovering their involvement in drug trafficking. Investigations led to formal charges being filed against them.

A specialized court found the defendants guilty and sentenced them to death. The verdict was upheld by the Supreme Court and finalized with a royal decree authorizing its implementation.

The Ministry of Interior confirmed that the executions were carried out in the Al-Jawf region. It reiterated Saudi Arabia’s commitment to combating drug smuggling and addressing such crimes to ensure public safety and deter others from threatening the nation’s security.
