Jordan resumes trade with Syria after brief disruption

President of the Jordan and Amman chambers of industry, Fathi Al-Jaghbir, announced Tuesday the resumption of operations at the Jaber border crossing between Jordan and Syria using the "door-to-door" transport system.

This system facilitates easier shipment of goods by Jordanian industrial companies to Syria.

Al-Jaghbir noted that Syrian authorities have eliminated all previously imposed fees and stamps, a move expected to boost commercial activity between the two countries.
