VIDEO: Jordan closes Jaber border crossing with Syria due to security concerns

Jordan's Minister of Interior, Mazen Al-Faraya, announced on Friday the closure of the Jaber border crossing, opposite Syria's Nasib crossing, due to deteriorating security conditions in southern Syria.

Under the decision, Jordanian citizens and trucks will be allowed to return to the Jordan, but outgoing traffic to Syria will be prohibited.

Minister Al-Faraya emphasized that Jordan is closely monitoring developments in Syria while the Jordanian Armed Forces continue to secure the border.

The move underscores Jordan's commitment to national security amid escalating tensions in the region.
