“Israeli” military says recovered body of captive from Gaza

The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) said Wednesday night that it recovered the body of captive Itay Svirsky from the Gaza Strip.

The newly released statement claims he was killed in captivity by Hamas, and the operation was conducted in cooperation with the Shin Bet.

At an earlier time, the IOF said he was likely killed as a result of an airstrike where he was held alongside other captives.

“Israeli” Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu issued a statement expressing his condolences to family and pledged to work to return all the remaining captives.
