“Israeli” aggression enters 421st day
The Government Media Office in Gaza has described the humanitarian situation in the Strip as catastrophic, as the ongoing conflict enters its 421st consecutive day.
Officials issued an urgent appeal, calling on the World Food Programme to intervene, citing widespread hunger and suffering among residents.
The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) reported that over 130,000 people have been displaced in northern Gaza in recent weeks due to intensified military operations by “Israeli” forces.
Early Saturday, “Israeli” airstrikes targeted a residential building in the Rimal neighborhood in central Gaza, according to local sources.
Ceasefire efforts
As international efforts to broker a ceasefire continue, Reuters reported that a Hamas delegation is scheduled to arrive in Cairo on Saturday for negotiations aimed at halting hostilities.
Egypt has proposed a comprehensive framework for a truce, including temporary cessation of fire to facilitate discussions on long-term agreements. Meanwhile, an Egyptian security delegation is set to travel to Tel Aviv on Thursday to advance these efforts.
Rising “Israeli” military casualties
The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) military has confirmed a rising death toll among its personnel, with 806 soldiers killed since the escalation began on October 7. Of these, 379 deaths occurred since the ground offensive commenced on October 27.
Additionally, 5,435 soldiers have been injured, including 794 critically, according to the latest military figures.
