In a related development, the IOF issued a new warning statement regarding several areas in southern Lebanon.
"Warning to southern residents: Until further notice, residents are prohibited from moving south to the line of the following villages and their surroundings, as well as within the villages themselves: Shebaa, Hebbariyeh, Marjayoun, Arnoun, Yohmor, Qantara, Chaqra, Baraachit, Yater, and Mansouri," the warning stated.
The statement claimed that the IOF does not intend to target civilians in these areas but warned residents against returning to their homes at this stage, especially south of the designated line.
The statement added, "A severe warning: Anyone moving south of this line puts themselves at risk. It is advised to remain in safe areas until further notice."
The ceasefire in Lebanon took effect at 4:00 AM on Wednesday as confirmed by US President Joe Biden during his speech announcing the agreement reached between Lebanon and "Israel".
Earlier, Channel 12 in "Israel" reported that the "Israeli" cabinet's security mini-committee had approved the ceasefire with Lebanon.
