First statement by Hezbollah following Lebanon ceasefire
Lebanese group Hezbollah issued its first statement following the implementation of a ceasefire on Wednesday.
Hezbollah published an account of military operations against “Israeli” forces, in what it described as significant victories against Israeli forces.
It emphasized that "Israeli" forces failed to achieve the war’s objectives.
The group addressed its supporters, commending their unwavering resilience and sacrifices in the face of adversity.
“To the most honorable, pure, and noble people, to our proud and steadfast nation, and to the free citizens of our homeland—you who shattered the illusions of the enemy through your legendary perseverance and boundless sacrifices,” the statement read.
“Victory, by God’s grace, has become the ally of this just cause, upheld with pride and dignity as you return to your villages and homes, carrying the banner of triumph high and unwavering.”
The Islamic Resistance, the statement added, has paid a heavy price in its mission to defend its land and people and support the oppressed in Palestine.
“We extend our salute of arms, jihad, martyrdom, and victory to you, to all the free people of the world, and to the fighters on every battlefield.”
Hezbollah reaffirmed its commitment to honoring the sacrifices of its leaders and fighters, pledging to continue on the path of resistance with renewed determination.
“We stand firmly by the oppressed, the vulnerable, and the fighters in Palestine, with Jerusalem as its capital—an eternal symbol and path for generations dreaming of freedom and liberation.”
