Macron pays tribute to Fairuz on her 90th birthday
French President Emmanuel Macron joined countless admirers worldwide in celebrating the 90th birthday of the legendary Lebanese singer Fairuz.

Macron wrote in an Instagram post, “Fairuz’s voice continues to soothe the hearts of Lebanese and Palestinians seeking the warmth of peace. To the one who embodies the dignity of this region, here’s to a hundred more years!”
The tribute reflects Macron’s long-standing admiration for the singer, who he has previously described as a cultural icon and a symbol of Lebanon’s rich heritage.
Macron’s tribute also includes a picture of Fairuz during their memorable meeting in 2020 during his visit to Lebanon.
The French president presented her with France’s Legion of Honor in recognition of her unmatched contribution to global culture and diplomacy.
