Netherlands confirms readiness to arrest Netanyahu, Gallant
Dutch Foreign Minister Caspar Veldkamp confirmed on Thursday that the Netherlands is ready to execute the International Criminal Court’s (ICC) arrest warrants for "Israeli" Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant.
In a statement to the press, he stated, "We will arrest Netanyahu if he enters the Netherlands, following the ICC’s warrant for his trial on charges of war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza."
Veldkamp also emphasized that the Netherlands will cease unnecessary communications with Netanyahu.
He reaffirmed the country's commitment to supporting the ICC’s decisions, as both a host nation and a member of the Rome Statute.
He added, "We view the enforcement of international justice as essential to upholding the global legal order."
