On Monday, violence erupted once again in Amsterdam as a group of individuals set a tram on fire in the city's western district.

Authorities reported that a group of people armed with sticks and fireworks targeted the tram at '40-'45 Square. While the motive behind the attack remains unclear, police are investigating whether it is linked to the violence caused by "Israeli" football fans the previous week.

No one was injured in the incident as the tram was empty at the time of the attack. Authorities quickly extinguished the flames, and riot police cleared the area, making several arrests in the process.

Local footage from broadcaster AT5 showed individuals in the square throwing fireworks, poles, and wooden pallets. Police urged citizens to avoid the area, confirming that riot squads would remain present to maintain order.

This comes on the heels of riots in the Netherlands, where 62 people were arrested and five others injured following clashes during the Maccabi Tel Aviv-Ajax match. Tensions arose after a Palestinian flag was removed and another was set on fire.
