French President Emmanuel Macron is set to attend the highly anticipated football match between France and "Israel" on Thursday, part of the UEFA Nations League, in Paris.

According to sources within the French presidency, Macron's presence is intended to convey a "message of solidarity and friendship."

In preparation for the event, French authorities implemented extensive security measures, mobilizing 4,000 personnel, including police officers and gendarmes, to secure the match at the Stade de France in Saint-Denis. This heightened security comes in the wake of last week's violent disturbances during the Ajax vs. Maccabi Tel Aviv match in Amsterdam, which has been deemed a "high-risk" event.

Paris Police Prefect Laurent Nuñez outlined the comprehensive security efforts, which include reinforcements inside and around the stadium, as well as enhanced monitoring of transportation networks and public spaces throughout Paris. Approximately 1,600 security officers will be stationed within the stadium, supported by a specialized unit from the national police, to ensure the safety of both the "Israeli" delegation and attendees.

Nunez emphasized that any attempt to disrupt the event would be met with strict enforcement, with thorough security checks at stadium entrances. However, there will be no limit on attendance, as the Stade de France can accommodate up to 80,000 spectators.

In parallel, "Israeli" authorities have advised their citizens against attending the match, citing potential security risks. The "Israeli" National Security Council has urged citizens to avoid events that could attract "Israeli" nationals over the coming week, particularly the match in Paris, due to heightened concerns about safety in several European cities.

This comes on the heels of riots in the Netherlands, where 62 people were arrested and five others injured following clashes during the Maccabi Tel Aviv-Ajax match. Tensions arose after a Palestinian flag was removed and another was set on fire.
