Report: US presents Gaza day-after proposal to Palestinian Authority
Hebrew Channel 12 reported that the United States has presented a proposal to Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas regarding the management of Gaza as part of the “day-after” plans.
According to the channel, the proposal suggests establishing a temporary international authority to oversee Gaza and forming a security force affiliated with the Palestinian Authority, which would receive training from Western nations.
So far, Abbas has not responded to the proposal – according to the report.
Earlier today, Abbas, speaking at the extraordinary Arab-Islamic summit in Saudi Arabia, urged nations worldwide to reconsider their relations with “Israel”, citing its non-compliance with international law, genocide, and targeting of UNRWA, the UN agency supporting Palestinian refugees.
He also called for implementing the UN General Assembly’s resolution, which demands countries impose sanctions on “Israel”, limit diplomatic relations, and end the occupation and settlement activities within a year, in line with an advisory opinion by the International Court of Justice (ICJ).
