Blinken commits to ongoing peace efforts in Gaza, Lebanon until Trump takes office

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken intends to continue his efforts to bring an end to the aggressions in Gaza and Lebanon before President-elect Donald Trump assumes office, Agence France-Presse (AFP) reported.

“We will continue to pursue an end to the war in Gaza, an end to the war in Lebanon, a surge of humanitarian assistance (to Gaza), and that is our duty to pursue those policies right up until noon on January 20 when the president-elect takes office,” State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller said in a briefing with reporters.
