Jordan condemns Israeli Occupation attack on UN peacekeepers in southern Lebanon

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates on Thursday condemned an Israeli Occupation attack on the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) in southern Lebanon's Sidon area, which injured several Malaysian peacekeepers.

Ministry spokesperson Ambassador Sufyan Qudah called for urgent measures to protect UN forces, ensure the safety of their personnel and fully implement UN Security Council Resolution 1701. He emphasized the immediate need to stop the Israeli Occupation's aggression against Lebanon to prevent the region from sliding toward a potential broader regional conflict.

Qudah expressed Jordan's sympathy and solidarity with the Malaysian government and people, wishing the injured peacekeepers a swift recovery.
