Flash floods expected in Jordan: Public Security shares safety precautions

The Public Security Directorate (PSD) urged citizens to exercise caution and vigilance during the anticipated unstable weather conditions over the next two days in Jordan.

In a statement received by Roya on Wednesday, the PSD warned of potential flash floods in some areas, emphasizing the importance of following safe practices by adhering to the following guidelines:

1. Avoid the sides of valleys and areas where floods may form, especially in regions expecting rainfall.
2. Do not risk crossing roads, whether on foot or in vehicles, if water levels are high.
3. Drive carefully in areas expected to experience rainfall, particularly in the southern and eastern parts of the Kingdom.
4. Ensure the safe and proper use of heating devices of all kinds, if needed.
5. Do not hesitate to call the unified emergency hotline, 911, if necessary.
