In the wake of Donald Trump's recent declaration of victory in the 2024 US presidential election, senior "Israeli" officials have expressed their enthusiasm and optimism, seeing the outcome as an opportunity to strengthen ties and pursue shared interests.

Newly appointed "Israeli" Defense Minister Israel Katz announced his government’s intent to collaborate with the Trump administration to "enhance the alliance" between the two nations. Katz also spoke of efforts to secure the release of detainees and to counter Iranian influence in the region.

The "Israeli" newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth reported that members of the ruling coalition in Tel Aviv were celebrating Trump’s anticipated second term, marking it as a win for both nations.

"Israeli" Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu expressed similar sentiments, calling Trump’s claimed victory a "great triumph." In a message to Trump, Netanyahu congratulated him personally, saying, “[this is a] new beginning for America, a powerful recommitment to the great alliance between Israel and America."

Trump himself framed his declaration of victory as a "historic moment," emphasizing it as a testament to the support he has received from the American people. This statement resonates strongly with his allies in "Israel", who view his leadership as beneficial to both countries’ shared goals and stability in the Middle East.
