Thunderstorms, rainfall expected in Jordan

The Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said that Wednesday’s weather will be mild in the highlands and moderate in other areas.

By late afternoon, an atmospheric instability is expected to bring clouds at various altitudes, with scattered showers beginning in southeastern regions and spreading overnight to much of the country.

Some showers could be heavy, with occasional thunder and hail. Winds will be moderate from the southeast, picking up in the desert regions and causing dust in some areas.

The (JMD) added that the instability will continue into Thursday, with scattered morning showers possibly accompanied by thunder and hail. Rainfall chances will diminish by the afternoon, though southeastern winds may still be active, especially in desert areas. By night, temperatures will be cool in most regions and mild in the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba.

Stable conditions are expected in the following days, with temperatures remaining near their seasonal averages. Moderate daytime temperatures are forecast, with scattered clouds and moderate southeastern winds. Nighttime conditions will be slightly cool across most regions, remaining mild in the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba.
