Temperatures drop across Jordan as rain and fog expected
A noticeable drop in temperatures is expected in Jordan on Sunday, with partly cloudy and mild weather in most areas, while conditions in the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba will be warmer.
By the afternoon, scattered rain showers are anticipated in the north and isolated parts of the central and eastern regions, with some thunderstorms possible. Moderate northwesterly winds will occasionally strengthen.
The Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) warned of early morning fog over high mountainous areas and parts of the northeastern desert. Drivers are advised to be cautious on rain-slicked roads and in the northeastern desert, where dust may reduce visibility.
On Monday, mild weather will continue across most areas, with moderate temperatures in the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba, accompanied by varying cloud cover. Light scattered rain is possible in northern regions during the morning, with moderate westerly winds picking up at times.
On Tuesday, conditions will remain mild in most regions, moderate in the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba, with occasional low clouds. Light north-northwest winds are expected.
By Wednesday, a slight temperature increase will bring mild conditions to the highlands and moderate weather elsewhere, with some medium clouds in southern regions. Light southeasterly winds are forecast.
