VIDEO: Large hailstones, flash floods strike several regions in Jordan

A Roya correspondent reported that large hailstones fell on Saturday evening in the Ruwaished district, accompanied by heavy rainfall.

He noted that the intense rain over the past two days has led to flash floods in many towns in the northeastern Badia region of Mafraq Governorate.

Meanwhile, light rain showers were reported in Beit Ras in the Irbid Governorate during the evening.

The Jordanian Meteorological Department (JMD) reported that weather radar images show rain showers affecting parts of Zarqa Governorate and the northeastern Badia region of Mafraq, as well as a limited area in Irbid Governorate.

They also stated that relatively cool weather is expected overnight, with a possibility of fog developing in higher elevations.
