Unidentified drone crashes in Jordan Thursday
The Jordanian Armed Forces said today that an unidentified drone crashed Thursday evening in an uninhabited area of the Souf town in Jerash Governorate after entering Jordanian airspace.
The statement said there were no injuries from the incident, but caused a fire that was extinguished by civil defense teams afterwards.
A military engineering team was dispatched to the site to ensure it was clear of any explosives that could threaten the safety of citizens and property.
“Such incidents are expected given the current conditions in the region and urged citizens to stay away from areas where such objects may fall. People are advised not to approach or gather around these objects due to potential dangers and to report any findings to the relevant authorities immediately,” the statement by the army concluded.
