Aid trucks from Gaza headed to Jordan.
Sixty aid trucks from Jordan crossed into Gaza this week
Sixty humanitarian aid trucks entered Gaza this week, providing emergency relief to residents amid a food shortage in the area, especially in northern Gaza.
The convoy, organized by the Jordanian Armed Forces–Arab Army and the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO), included ready-to-eat meals, food packages, hygiene kits, and canned meat. These supplies are being distributed through local partner associations and organizations within Gaza.
Dr. Hussein Shibli, Secretary-General of the JHCO, highlighted the severe food shortages affecting Gaza's residents, saying, “This week’s aid focused on food assistance to address the critical needs, especially in northern Gaza.”
He added that the organization is actively preparing additional aid convoys, aiming to diversify supplies based on current needs in the region.
Dr. Shibli expressed gratitude to all local and international partners, as well as individual donors who have contributed to the “For Our People in Gaza” campaign, underscoring that even the smallest donations have a positive impact.
To date, the total aid delivered has reached 3,839 trucks and 53 air shipments via the Al Arish Airport.
This week’s convoy was conducted in cooperation with the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) and various local and international partners.
The JHCO continues to accept cash donations through its bank account at Union Bank (JO32 UBSI 1030 0000 4010 1659 9151 06), e-wallets, the CliQ app (JHCOGAZA), eFAWATEERcom, or through the JHCO’s website at www.jhco.org.jo.
