Iran says thwarted separatist group affiliated with “Israel”

Iran’s Intelligence Ministry said today it identified and killed a “separatist terrorist group” affiliated with “Israel” that was planning to enter the country.

According to a statement cited by the official state TV IRNA, the separatists planned to enter the West Azerbaijan Province through Iraqi Kurdistan, but were detected and some killed while attempting to do so.

One of the main members of the group was killed, his two other companions were arrested with weapons which were also confiscated – according to the statement.
