Fail: AOC urges Arab vote in flyer with disconnected, backwards Arabic text

Democrat Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is encouraging her constituents in New York to vote ahead of the next elections by putting out a number of flyers.

The flyers contained both English and Arabic, in a move meant to appeal to Arab voters. However, the Arabic text was full of mistakes – disconnected and backwards.

AOC brandished the posters on X, saying that her office is encouraging voting in five languages at once.

AOC deleted the tweet shortly after being called out; first done by journalist Ahmed Shihab-Eldin, who described the flyer as “pure gibberish”, adding that it is a “true metaphor for her efforts to connect to Arab voters” by “not caring enough about the basics like our right to life.”
